South East Juniors offers a range of female only programs to encourage the participation of girls in footy.

U12 Girls Program

Are you a girl aged 9–12 who loves her footy? Why not get involved in the South East Juniors girls football competition? 

The South East Juniors Under 12 Junior Girls football competition is aimed at girls aged 9–12, using the AFL’s modified junior girls rules. The matches are played on Sunday mornings at club venues.

Youth Girls Aged 13-18

Youth Girls is a community football competition, specifically designed to promote female football in a friendly environment for girls aged between 13 and 18 years. The South Eastern competition is played on a Sunday at club venues.

Who can play ?

Teams and players from government and nongovernment schools, football clubs, and all girls wishing to have a go at footy can all play in their very own competition.

The program comprises of the following elements:

A structured competition: a weekly competition played over 14 weeks from April to August (including finals)

A fun atmosphere: the emphasis of Youth Girls is on fun, friendship and fitness to develop football skills

Flexibility: no prior experience is needed; many former participants did not participate in either Auskick or junior club football Modified rules to further develop skills.
